SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (KRON) — A brazen attempted kidnapping happened on the streets of Lake Tahoe earlier in October, according to South Lake Tahoe police.
Investigators hope a sketch will help them track down the attacker. Police said the man approached a woman earlier this month, as she was walking.
She was heading from Harvey’s casino and hotel to a nearby restaurant around 9:30 a.m. The victim said the man followed her on his bicycle.
The man told her he had a gun and ordered her to follow him. Instead, the woman ran to safety at a nearby hotel.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian or light-skinned, Hispanic man in his mid-20s. Police said he is about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, and a scar near his right eye.
He was also wearing black prescription glasses, with a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Police said he was riding a white bicycle.
