GILROY (KRON)– An early morning car accident in Gilroy has killed one person and injured one other.
Officials with the California Highway Patrol were called about the crash just after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The crash happened on the northbound Hwy 101, near the Leavesley Road exit.
According to CHP, a vehicle crashed into a tree, killing the driver.
A passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
