The Nelson Fire that broke out in Solano County Friday evening swelled to 2, 200 acres, but Cal Fire officials said crews made good progress overnight building and reinforcing containment lines.
The blaze erupted around 4:57 p.m. on Nelson Rd. and Cherry Glen Rd. in Vacaville.

Authorities say 1 structure was destroyed and 10 others were threatened.
The wildfire prompted evacuations in Fairfield and Vacaville, but orders were lifted in the following areas: Constitution Avenue, Paradise Valley Estates Drive and Couples Circle north of Paradise Valley Golf Course.
Containment rose to 95% Saturday night.
