BERKELEY (KRON) — More and more kids are starting to play soccer. However, a recent study shows that with the increase of players, there is a larger number of those kids in the emergency room with a concussion.
KRON 4 news reporter Ella Sogomonian spoke with parents in Berkeley who have enrolled their kids on soccer teams.
Despite the stats, many of them aren’t concerned or alarmed by the stats.
She also spoke with a soccer coach and says that he hasn’t seen a rise in concussions but he is aware.
Ella’s full report is in the video above with safety tips for young players.
