(KRON)—Smartphones are causing your kids to lose sleep even when they are shut off, according to a study from Kings College in London.

Researchers found that even when children who don’t use their phones or other technology at night, they are still losing sleep.

They say kids become restless because they anticipate receiving text messages and social media notifications.

Even if they are not on their phones, there is a 79 percent increased risk of not getting enough sleep just by having the device in their room while they sleep.
