SAN CARLOS (KRON) — The Redwood City Fire Department is reporting a small plane crash in San Carlos, according to firefighters.
A worker at San Carlos aviation said it was an experimental plane (a DV-1 Skylark) that had engine trouble. The pilot is said to be OK.
The Redwood City Fire Department is on-scene near Highway 101. The plane went down across from the San Carlos airport, about a half-mile off the end of the runway, firefighters said.
No passengers were on board.
Shoreway Road was closed between Holly Street and Cormorant Drive. But it has since re-opened.
