An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 struck near Gilroy Thursday morning, according to USGS.
The quake hit at around 10:25 a.m. and was centered about 3 miles southwest of Gilroy.
The trembler had a depth of about 2.4 miles.
Thursday is also the annual Great California ShakeOut where schools will be participating in earthquake drills across the state and even the world.
