Six year prison sentence for San Francisco man trafficking meth

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)- A San Francisco man was sentenced to six years in prison for the trafficking of methamphetamine on Wednesday, according to Department of Justice Officials.

On March 3rd, David Perez Hernandez, 20, admitted that he possessed about 15 pounds of a mixture and substance containing meth as well as a gun to be used while trafficking drugs.


A federal grand jury indicted Hernandez, on July 5, indicting him with one count of possession with intent to distribute meth and one count of using, and possessing a firearm in relation to drug trafficking.

On Sept. 15th, Hernandez pleaded guilty to the charges, according to officials.

Hernandez has been in custody since July, and after his prison term, he will serve a three-year period of supervised release.

He will begin serving his sentence immediately.
