(KRON) Snow is falling across the Sierra Monday morning.

If you are heading up to ski, snowboard or just play in the snow, bring chains. At this hour chain requirements are in being enforced.

Tahoe ski resorts are reporting one to two feet of fresh snow.

Here’s the latest update from the KRON4 Weather Center.

Expect light rain and showers through sunrise with drying conditions from north to south late this morning into the early afternoon.

Dry weather conditions are then forecast to develop for much of the upcoming week, aside from a passing shower on Wednesday when a weak system moves through northern California.

Daytime temperatures will remain seasonably cool through midweek before warming slightly by the weekend.
