UNION CITY (KRON) — Shots were fired just blocks away from James Logan High School while a football game was being played on Friday night.
Union City police officers responded around 9:00 p.m. to Tulane Street on a report of a shot being fired in the area.
The incident occurred a few blocks away from James Logan High School. The school was hosting a football game that evening while the reported shots were fired.
Officers arrived and searched the area to locate a suspect hiding in the area of Colgate Drive.
The suspect was taken into custody but not in connection with the shooting and was not associated with the high school, police said.
There were no reports of any injuries, and officers did not locate a weapon, according to police.
