RICHMOND (KRON) — A shooting on a Richmond freeway on Friday night left one man injured.
Around 8:00 p.m. the incident was reported on westbound Interstate 580 near Harbour Way and the marina area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers arrived to find an adult male injured on a major portion of the freeway. The man was driving at the time of the incident, CHP said.
The man is being hospitalized for his injuries and is in stable condition.
There is no suspect or suspect vehicle at this time.
The only witness to this incident was the victim, CHP said. They have yet to be able to speak to the victim as he is being medically treated.
All lanes were temporarily blocked but as of 9:45 p.m. CHP officers said all lanes had reopened.
