CUPERTINO (KRON) — A sheriff’s deputy in Santa Clara County was injured in a hit-and-run collision Tuesday, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.
The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. when the deputy was patrolling on a motorcycle on South De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino. The deputy slowed with traffic and was struck by a Ford Flex.
The collision occurred near Rodrigues Avenue according to Sgt. James Jensen.
The male driver of the Ford fled after the collision Jensen said. The driver of the white Ford is still at large, according to police.
The deputy was transported to a hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, Jensen said.
