UPDATE: The inmate has been captured due to an alert citizen, sheriff’s deputies said.

He was located on Guerneville Road just outside Santa Rosa with his jail clothes turned inside out.

An alert citizen recognized him and contacted the authorities, deputies said.

He was taken into custody without incident.


WINDSOR, Caif. (KRON) — Sheriff deputies in Sonoma County are looking for an inmate who fled from a work crew Friday afternoon.

According to sheriff deputies, inmate Sergio Becerril Molina, 31, fled on foot in the 4100 block of Mark West Station Road in Windsor, Calif.

Molina was residing at the North County Detention Facility north of Santa Rosa for a DUI offense, sheriff deputies said.

Molina is described as a Hispanic man standing at five-foot-eight and weighs 175 pounds. Molina also has black hair and brown eyes.

Residents in the area are encouraged to call 911 immediately if Molina is spotted.
