(BCN) – Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery Friday night of a small market store in West Menlo Park in unincorporated San Mateo County, sheriff’s officials said today.
The suspect at 9:44 p.m. entered the Country Corner store at 3207 Alameda de las Pulgas and showed an employee a gun.
The suspect demanded money and the employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled and was running east on Monterey Avenue when he was last seen, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies searched the area for the suspect but did not find him. Deputies are describing the suspect as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build.
He was wearing a black jacket with a hood, a blue bandana over his face and light-colored blue or gray jeans, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies have no description of the suspect’s race or how old the person is.
