Authorities have arrested a man they say hid a camera in a Santa Cruz coffee shop restroom and made more than a dozen videos of men, women and children.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office says an employee of Verve Coffee Roasters discovered the video recorder last week. It was pointed at a toilet and apparently had been in place for about three hours.
Detectives using outdoor surveillance video identified a suspect.
On Friday, they arrested 35-year-old Sage Savage of Capitola on suspicion of burglary, sexual exploitation of a child and using a camcorder in a restroom. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
