ANTIOCH (KRON) — A shelter-in-place has been liften for a neighborhood in Antioch following a natural gas leak.

The leak happened around 8:41 a.m. near the intersection of Buchannan and Sommersville roads when construction crews hit a 4-inch gas line.

Buchannan Road was closed from Meadows Road to Sommersville Road. That road is now back open.

A shelter-in-place was ordered for the Chateau Mobile Home Park, it was lifted aroun 10:30 Thursday morning.

Contra Costa Fire Protection sent out this tweet around 9:15 a.m.

A PG&E crew was able to stop the flow of gas by 10:20 a.m.

PG&E reminds people that it is important to call 811 before digging to learn where natural gas lines are located.
