San Francisco police have arrested 12 men in connection with a string of car burglaries.
Most of the burglaries happened in the Japantown area, on Geary Street, between July 26 and last Wednesday.
The suspects range in age from 18 to 39-years-old.
The men were booked on a variety of charges including burglary, possession of stolen property, probation violations, resisting arrest, and more.
Police have been concentrating a lot of effort on catching car break-in thieves.
As of the end of June, auto burglaries were down 20 percent.
After this, that number is sure to go up.
The city has been cracking down on this after alarming data showed in the last seven years, there have been 81,000 car break-ins, of which only 13 arrests were made.
People are saying they are overall impressed and relieved to hear this good news.
