SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Airports in the Bay Area are increasing security after a terror attack killed 41 people and wounded more than 230 at an Istanbul airport.

Suicide attackers armed with guns and bombs targetted the Istanbul airport on Tuesday. Islamic State extremists are now being blamed for the attack.

The San Francisco International Airport is increasing patrols by uniformed officers in response to the attack.
