The San Francisco Police Department released dramatic body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting in the North Beach District.
The police department released the footage during a town hall meeting on Thursday night.
The incident happened Saturday night on Grant Avenue and video shows an officer shooting a man in the back after he ran off.
San Francisco police hold the town hall meetings in an effort to be transparent with residents and update the public on new information.
KRON4’s Gayle Ong spoke to some attendees who said the footage was too graphic.
Some residents said the shooting could have been avoided.
