CHP issued a “severe” Traffic Alert Tuesday morning on southbound Highway 101 near the San Jose Airport.
The alert is due to a grass fire burning on the US-101 south ramp to Guadalupe Pkwy (87 south).
The fire is contained and the ramp is open, but traffic remains clogged in the area.
For airport access, drivers should consider using Coleman Ave. or Airport Pkwy. instead.
There is no impact on airport operations, according to officials with San Jose International Airport.
