MILPITAS (BCN) – Several people were arrested last month in connection with an armed robbery of a grocery store, according to Milpitas police.
Police said at 6:41 a.m. on Jan. 24, officers responded to a Safeway located at 555 E. Calaveras Blvd. on reports of several suspects shoplifting and one suspect brandishing a knife.
According to police, Milpitas residents, Trevor Hall, 24, Enrique Hernandez, 36, Edward Leal, 21, Anthony Davis, 34, Sarah Davis, 23 and San Jose resident Robert Delgado, 26, exited the store with beer, hard alcohol and sandwiches they allegedly hadn’t paid for.
Police said when an employee asked the group if they were going to pay for their items, Hall allegedly brandished a knife, before fleeing in a red 2010 Hyundai Accent.
Police said during an investigation, Hall was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime. Delgado, Hernandez, Leal and Anthony Davis were arrested on suspicion of petty theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Police said Sarah Davis was cited and released at her residence on suspicion of petty theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
