(KRON) — Seven people were displaced early Saturday morning after two Pittsburg homes caught fire.

At 5:10 a.m., firefighters with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a structure fire in the 2100 block of Raindrop Circle, according to fire marshal Robert Marshall.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two neighboring homes were on fire. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within about 30 minutes, Marshall said.

All seven occupants inside the homes were able to safely evacuate and no injuries were reported, according to Marshall.

The American Red Cross is assisting all of the displaced occupants, Marshall said.

The fire caused around $400,000 in damages to the two homes combined.

Investigators are working to determine a cause for the fire, according to Marshall.
