SAN JOSE (KRON)—The San Jose Police Department arrested seven people connected to gang-related burglaries in East Palo Alto.
Police have named the investigation “Operation Cruz Control.”
All seven suspects are accused of burglarizing over 200 homes in San Jose and other neighboring cities.
The group used high-end cars like a Porsche, BMW and a Mercedes to commit the crimes.
Firearms, cash, jewelry and electronics were stolen during the home burglaries.
Over 150 officers from local agencies assisted San Jose police in the seven arrests.
Officers seized burglary tools, a firearm, large amounts of cash and ski masks.
The arrests follow a year long investigation conducted by the department.
Ruben Ibarra-Nava, 22, Emerson Chavez, 19, Daniel Flores-Castaneda, 24, Jaime Magana,25, Francisco Ledesma Aquilar, 25, Gilberto Cruz, 19 and Raul Cruz Jr, 20, are now in police custody.
All suspects arrested are from East Palo Alto and have been booked on multiple burglary counts and gang enhancement.
Police are still searching for two suspects connected to the case.
They have been identified as Miguel Chipres-Magallon, 22, and Gustavo Ayala Garcia Jr., 23, of Newark.
