OAKLAND (KRON)—Senator-elect Kamala Harris and Senator Dianne Feinstein have both expressed their sympathies to those who lost loved ones in the deadly Oakland warehouse fire.
Harris, who starts her first term as a California senator in January 2017, tweeted that she sends her strength and prayers to Oakland.
“A terrible, terrible tragedy,” Harris wrote.

Senator Dianne Feinstein said she was thinking about the Oakland fire victims and their families. Feinstein also thanked the 50 firefighters who are working to put out the fire.
Both Feinstein and Harris are Bay Area natives.
Feinstein is from San Francisco and served as mayor of the city after former Mayor George Moscone was assassinated.
Harris was born in Oakland and raised in Berkeley. She served as the Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County for eight years
