SEBASTOPOL (KRON) — A man was taken to the hospital after being attacked with a hammer Thursday morning.
At 8:04 a.m., officers with the Sebastopol Police Department were called to the area of Bodega Avenue and Pleasant Hill Road, where a driver had been hurt in a hammer attack.
Before officers arrived, the assailant left the area.
The victim told police that the assailant was driving a red or maroon Honda compact car, or a similar 4-door sedan.
The license plate was similar to 6ULS461.
It may be missing its passenger side mirror because of a collision at the scene.
The driver is described as a white man in his 30’s or 40’s, 6’0″-6’2″, with blond or brown hair.
