SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Scientists and activists have rallied in San Francisco to defend climate-change research ahead of a skeptical Trump administration.
A couple hundred researchers, activists and supporters gathered Tuesday ahead of the biggest gathering of U.S. climate scientists since November’s elections.
Demonstrators in lab coats held signs with slogans such as “Stand up for Science.”
Rally participants object to President-elect Donald Trump’s questioning of scientific conclusions that mankind’s use of oil, and natural gas rapidly is warming the earth’s atmosphere.
