SANTA ROSA (KRON) —  A woman from Santa Rosa pleaded not guilt Thursday morning to being an accessory to an alleged gang-related Windsor murder last year driving three juvenile murder suspects to Mexico.

Leticia Isela Sanchez, 43, is charged with three felony counts of being an accessory to a crime and three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Sonoma County sheriff’s Sgt. Shannon McAlvain said Sanchez drove Oscar Gustavo Aguilar, 18, Duane Darcell Morgan, 17, and Flavio Ramos Caballero, 18, from California to Mexico on June 25 after the gunshot murder of Nathaniel Torres, 15, at a birthday party in Windsor three days earlier.

Aguilar and Caballero also were juveniles at the time of the slaying.

Sanchez’s son Sergio Quiroz, 22, pleaded no contest in February to being an accessory by driving the suspects away from the party.

His attorney Stephen Turer said Quiroz was unaware of the murder when he drove the three suspects to Reno and back.

McAlvain said Sanchez became a person of interest two months after the murder, and there was a warrant for her arrest since Feb. 26.

She was arrested last month at a Santa Rosa residence, McAlvain said.

The three murder suspects were arrested in Mexico on Oct. 20. Morgan was extradited to California but Caballero and Aguilar fought extradition and were returned to Sonoma County in December.

The murder suspects are being prosecuted as adults and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 14. Sanchez’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 23. The charges against her also contain allegations of gang participation.BCN helped contributed to this report
