SANTA ROSA (KRON) — An antique car that was stolen earlier this year was recovered from a cargo trailer in Santa Rosa, police said on Friday.
The Pontiac GTO convertible, worth an estimated $50,000, was reported stolen back in February from a business in the area of Yolanda Avenue.
In March, police arrested Michael Patrick McGinnis in connection with the theft after investigators reviewed video surveillance from the business, but the vehicle was never recovered, police said.
The Pontiac was located on Thursday in a stolen cargo trailer in the area of Fiscal and Paulin drives in Santa Rosa.
The cargo trailer was reported stolen out of Marin County, police said.
The investigation was a joint effort between the Santa Rosa Police Department and the Sonoma County Auto Theft Task Force.
