SANTA ROSA (KRON) — Firefighters in Santa Rosa are investigating a 2-alarm fire that caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.
The fire broke out at 7:14 Wednesday evening at a building in the 800 block of Piner Road.
When crews got to the industrial park, they found a fire in the center unit of the building. Fire was coming through the roof and high head was showing from a metal roll up door.
It took crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
Crews were able to keep the fire contained to two units in the building; one belonging to David Fowler Designs, the other Gatley Gunsmithing.
Firefighters think the fire may have started in some linseed soaked rags that were used earlier in the day on a project inside David Fowler Designs.
Officials estimate that about $100,000 of damage was done to the building itself and another $100,000 to the contents inside the building.
