Santa Clara County officials say they need 1,400 more poll workers before next month’s primary.
Volunteers are especially needed in Palo Alto, Los Altos, Saratoga, and San Jose’s Willow Glen, Almaden and downtown neighborhoods.
Officials are also looking for bilingual workers.
Volunteers will be paid a stipend of up to $200.
Despite the shortage, officials say all polling places will be open on Election Day.
