SANTA CLARA (KRON) — The Santa Clara County City Council is considering banning the sale of alcohol after halftime at Levi’s Stadium.

That’s one of the changes being considered to try get fans to drink less at home games.

Another idea the city council is toying with is having more officers work at the games. The council will discuss the proposals Tuesday night at its meeting.

This comes a week after a viral video surfaced showing San Francisco 49ers fans beating a man in a Minnesota Vikings jersey.

Last year, a fight video from inside a Levi’s Stadum bathroom was shared around the world.

Santa Clara police said they make around 30 arrests per game, most involving alcohol.
