Police confirm that a student at a San Ramon High School had been allegedly planning a violent attack, similar to Columbine.

Police say the teen had even planned to use guns like those used in Colorado. Police confirm to KRON4 that the teen was working on an elaborate violent plan, and he reportedly called it Columbine 2.0.

He planned to carry out his plot allegedly on Apr. 20, 2021, 22 years after Columbine.

Police also confirm to KRON4 that in a search of the teen’s home, they found a tactical vest, camouflage helmet, and a toy shotgun.

Police say the male, a freshman at California High School in San Ramon, tried to enlist a fellow student and that person contacted authorities.

San Ramon police tell KRON4 that the student reportedly had a list of targets.

Police say the case is open currently, although no charges have been filed yet, they could be in the future against the teen.
