BELMONT (KRON)– San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested four people in connection with a string of robberies in San Carlos with the help of Belmont Police.
Early Thursday morning Belmont Police noticed a suspicious vehicle in a Safeway parking log in Belmont with several items strewn about the car.
The vehicle was left with the keys inside of it while four men wearing dark clothing went into the store.
The officers contacted the men and determined that the vehicle was registered to Joseph Smith, who was on searchable probation.
Officers searched the car and found tools, electronics and various other items that were stolen from different locations in San Carlos and other areas of San Mateo County.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies took custody of Smith, Justin Frolli, Cody Karn and another man who was later released.
The property was taken from garages, an unlocked car and construction sites.
