SAN MATEO (KRON) — The westbound and eastbound lanes of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge are open this morning after crews finished weekend work on the span, a Caltrans spokesman said.

The eastbound lanes opened at about 4:20 a.m., spokesman Bob Haus said. They were scheduled to open at 5 a.m.

Caltrans closed the bridge all weekend to resurface and treat the deck and perform routine maintenance.

Next week the bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
