SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police are investigating a stabbing Monday, according to a tweet from police.
The stabbing happened at around 4:51 p.m. on the 900 block of Palm Street, police said. Officers responded to a report of a family disturbance and a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they learned from a family member that his adult brother stabbed their mother and then stabbed himself, Ofc. Albert Morales said. Police found the mother inside suffering from at least one stab wound.
She was rushed to the hospital. Police said the victim is in critical condition.
The suspect died at the scene.
No other details were made available by police.
Police said they are still investigating the circumstances of the stabbing.
