SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police are searching for an Uber driver accused of assaulting a man at an airport rental facility at Mineta San Jose International Airport last week, according to Sgt. Enrique Garcia.

Garcia said the victim saw the suspect drive at a high rate of speed in a white car at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday. The driver then followed the victim to a car rental facility, according to police. 

The suspect parked, and that is when the victim confronted the driver over the fast driving. The victim then took pictures of the driver and the car, which had an Uber sticker on the window, Garcia said.

The suspect then got out of the car and grabbed the victim’s shirt, Garcia said. The driver then yelled and pushed the victim before he left with his fare who had arrived, according to Garcia.

Police describe the suspect as white, in his 40s, with dark hair. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 175 pounds, Garica said.
