SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police are searching for burglary suspects who allegedly smashed glass and burglarized the same convenience store twice in a span of about 6 months, according to Sgt. Enrique Garcia.
Surveillance video from the two separate burglaries shows that the same suspects hit the Stop N Save, located at 1626 East Capitol Expressway, police said.
The first incident happened on June 29 at around 1:07 a.m. Four suspects smashed an outside window to get inside, police said.
Two of the suspects made off with cigarettes, lottery tickets, and alcohol, Garica said. The other two served as lookouts.
The most-recent incident occurred on Jan. 13 at around 6:30 a.m. In that case, two suspects were involved, police said.
According to Garcia, one suspect broke the store-front glass to get into the store and steal items. He ran away through the front door and got into a Mercedes waiting in the parking lot, police said.
Another suspect, the alleged getaway driver, was inside the Mercedes.
The suspects sped away just as the owner arrived but crashed the car into a tree in the parking lot, police said. Both suspects then got out of the car and ran away.
If you have any information, police said to contact them at (408)-277-4401.
