SAN JOSE (BCN) — A man fatally shot Thursday in San Jose’s second homicide this year has been identified as 25-year-old Stephen McCloskey, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
McCloskey, a San Jose resident, was found in the area of Pinto Drive and Lone Bluff Way at about 9:40 p.m., police Officer Albert Morales said.
Officers responded to the scene on a report of a person shot and found McCloskey, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Morales.
The suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Michael Paul Malone of Seaside, fled the scene but officers detained him in connection with McCloskey’s death that same night, Morales said.
Malone has been booked into Santa Clara County Jail, where he is being held without bail, according to jail records.
