SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police have arrested a 37-year-old man accused of indecent exposure and annoying or molesting children, according to Ofc. Albert Morales.
John Ha is facing 32 counts of lewd acts, indecent exposure, and annoying or molesting a child, police said. In January, detectives found a series of indecent exposure incidents involving a gray Honda Acord were connected to Ha, Morales said.
Police said Ha was frequenting schools in San Jose, including Foothill, Overfelt, and Independence high schools. He would then wait for girls walking alone to school in the morning.
Ha is accused of then masturbating and exposing himself in front of them.
Police identified 14 incidents involving the suspect, according to Morales. The victims are between 14 and 17 years old.
Ha was arrested on Tuesday at his work in Milpitas. Detectives obtained a $500,000 arrest warrant.
He’s being booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
