SAN JOSE (KRON) — San Jose police have arrested three additional suspects for assaults at a Donald Trump rally in San Jose last Thursday, police said on Twitter.
“We will (be) continuing our follow up investigations. Victim cooperation crucial,” police said on Twitter on Tuesday.
“After extensive follow-up investigation and victim cooperation, the San Jose Police Department has arrested three additional suspects who were responsible for three separate assaults at the Trump rally on Thursday, June 2, 2016,” Ofc. Albert Morales said in a press release.
Police said the three suspects arrested were juveniles. The first and second suspects were arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon and are 16 and 17 years old respectively.
The third suspect was arrested for misdemeanor battery and is 16 years old.
Suspect No. 1 and No. 2 are San Jose residents. Suspect No. 3 is from Milpitas, police said.
Police said the first victim was seen on TV wearing a yellow polo shirt and was walking on the sidewalk and was hit from behind with a blunt object. The victim suffered visible injuries.
The second victim was seen on TV wearing a red shirt and being chased around and tackled to the ground, police said.
The third victim was seen on TV wearing a red shirt and also being chased around and tackled to the ground, police said.
Four people had been arrested earlier during the downtown Trump rally. Three of four are facing felony charges.
On Tuesday, police announced they were looking for another suspect accused of assault during the rally.
Police said they still expect more arrests.
