SAN JOSE (KRON) — A man who was killed in a fight Tuesday night in San Jose has been identified as 51-year-old Alfred Perez, according to San Jose police.

Around 7:38 p.m. officers responded to West Alma Avenue and Mastic Street for a call that multiple people were fighting.

When they arrived they found the San Jose resident suffering from multiple injuries, authorities said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No information about the circumstance or motive of this crime are known at this time.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.

This is San Jose’s 42nd homicide of 2016.
