SAN JOSE (KRON) — Six children and two adults have been displaced by a one-alarm house fire early Monday morning, according to the fire department.
The fire was reported around 1:20 a.m. on the 3400 block of Pitcairn Way, Fire Capt. Christopher Salcido said.
Crews saw heavy smoke that appeared to be coming from the attic of the one-story house, Salcido said.
The fire was put out about 45 minutes later, he said.
No one was injured and everyone inside the house was evacuated.
The American Red Cross was called to help the six kids, two adults, three cats and a dog displaced by the fire.
The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
