SAN JOSE (BCN)– Firefighters quickly extinguished a one-alarm fire at a suspected marijuana grow house in San Jose on Saturday evening.

Fire crews responded to a report of a fire in the 200 block of Prairiewood Court at 7:36 p.m., San Jose fire Capt. Mike Van Elgort said.

The blaze was at the corner of a garage and was extinguished about 10 minutes later.

The home sustained minor damage from the fire, which burned a wall of the garage.

No injuries were reported.

The two-story home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, according to Van Elgort.

A PG&E crew was called to the scene to secure utilities at the home.

The cause of the fire, which appears to be electrical in nature, is under investigation.
