SAN FRANCISCO (KRON)—Hundreds of music enthusiasts gathered Sunday at the San Francisco’s Community Music Center to celebrate its 95th birthday.
The event was called “Field Day at CMC.”
It featured five hours of performances by faculty and students, workshops, lessons, and more.
“It’s not every day you can celebrate making a difference in your community for three generations,” said Christopher Borg, executive director, Community Music Center. “Field Day at CMC celebrates our founder, Gertrude Field, and 95 years of music for everyone with free performances, workshops, and lessons.”
Students, guest artists and music enthusiasts also performed to help raise thousands of dollars for CMC scholarships.
The event was free and open to the public.Video and photos courtesy of San Francisco Community Center
