SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a sexual assault suspect.

KRON has obtained a picture of a person of interest that may have information on the incident.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Apr. 24 in San Francisco’s financial district, according to police.

The suspect and victim reportedly entered a hotel where the man assaulted the victim, police said.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, says he told her his name was Sergio and he was between 25 and 30 years old.

The suspect is also described as having a medium complexion and being 5 feet 8 inches tall.

The suspect ran away from the hotel, police said.

Police said a similar assault happened on March 26 in the same area.
