SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police have released a sketch of the suspect accused of assaulting a man and woman last month in the city’s Duboce Triangle neighborhood, leaving a male victim with a broken leg and a female victim with traumatic brain injuries, police said on Tuesday.

The assault happened at around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the 100 block of Sanchez Street, according to police.

Surveillance video shows a male suspect, who was accompanied by three other males, approaching the victims and speaking with them, according to police.

The suspect made a sexual remark to the woman, police said.

The suspect then allegedly struck the man in the face, knocking him to the sidewalk. When the woman tried to intervene, he allegedly struck her several times in the head, knocking her to the ground, where she hit her head, police said.

The woman suffered head trauma and spent several days in a hospital, according to police.

The suspect ran away with the other three males, who had stood by and watched during the attack, police said. One of them was wearing what appeared to be chef’s pants.

The male victim worked with a police artist to produce a suspect sketch, which was released Tuesday.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the crime, observed any suspicious activity or has any information on the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Sgt. Rob Terry at (415) 242-3000 or the department’s
