SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police are investigating three separate robberies on Thursday in which victims in their 60s and 70s are being pushed to the ground and hospitalized, police said on Friday.
The first case happened at around 11:52 p.m. near Paul Avenue and Crane Street in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood, according to police.
A 63-year-old woman was walking when a suspect came up from behind her and pushed her to the ground. The suspect, described as a male between 15 and 20 years old, then took the woman’s purse.
The victim suffered abrasions and swelling. She was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.
The second incident happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sutter Street, police said.
There, a 76-year-old man was walking when a suspect approached him. The suspect then slammed the man to the ground and searched through the victim’s pockets.
The suspect was able to take the man’s cash before fleeing on foot, according to police.
Finally, around 10:45 p.m., in the 600 block of Van Ness Avenue, a 64-year-old woman was leaving the San Francisco Opera with her husband, police said.
A woman described as being in her 40s then approached the victim and pushed her to the ground. The victim hit her head on the sidewalk.
The suspect then took the cash from the victim’s purse before fleeing on foot, according to police.
The victim complained of head pain. She was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
All three incidents are being investigated as separate incidents and no arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
