SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco police have arrested a woman in a hot prowl burglary on Sunday, police said on Monday.

It happened at around 10:20 p.m. on the 1700 block of McKinnon Avenue in the city’s Bayview District.

The woman, identified as 37-year-old Veronica Barahona, forced her way inside a home through a sliding glass door, police said. She allegedly walked into the bedroom, where the homeowner woke up and started screaming.

Barahona then ran out the back door, according to police. The victim then called the police and told them Barahona was hiding in the backyard.

Barahona was then arrested for one count of first-degree burglary.Vince Cestone is a KRON4 Web Producer. Follow him on Twitter at @Vince_Cestone.
