SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee was sworn in to a second full term amid a raucous demonstration by protesters angry over the shooting death of a 26-year-old man by police last month.

Protesters calling for the removal of Police Chief Greg Suhr drowned out California Gov. Jerry Brown as he administered the oath to Lee on Friday at San Francisco City Hall.

He promised to keep San Francisco accessible to all. Critics say he has done just the opposite.

This is Lee’s third swearing-in. He was tapped in January 2011 to fill the remainder of Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s term.

It was not immediately known how many people, if any, were arrested, but several demonstrators were removed from the building.

Police shot stabbing suspect Mario Woods Dec. 2.
