SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A high school in San Francisco’s Richmond District was evacuated due to a bomb threat, that was later found to be false, on Friday morning.

According to Karwin Sui from the San Francisco Unified School District, George Washington High School received a bomb threat this morning.

Around 9:10 a.m., officers received a report of a bomb threat at the high school located at 600 32nd Avenue.

Sui said students will remain evacuated until police clear all bomb threats.

Officers were on scene and San Francisco Police Department’s bomb squad responded to the area and investigated the threat but were unable to locate any threat, police said.

The area was deemed safe and students were allowed to return to class, according to San Francisco Unified School District officials.

According to Sui, students will remain evacuated until police clear all bomb threats.

Police are now looking into who made the call regarding the bomb threat.
